MOE - DnD (24 Nov 2006)
DnD at Neptune Theatre
It was a bz day for me, first of all I had signing of TG agreement at TP from 9.30am till 1.30pm. Already late for the TP signing appointment, with my shoes, oh i wore the wrong shoes, I was wondering how was I to dance with that kind of shoes tat evening? Too tight at the toes (cause its new!!bought by my ex!)excruciating pain...I wanted to scream..please release my feet!!
We did the signing eventually, not too many students turned up that day which was quite a blessing. However, it rained in the afternoon, we supposed to return to the office, at 2.30 but we dragged it till 4 - reason, raining heavily lahhhh!!
Once at the office, all my mood gone, I called my colleagues, guess where they were? they were already busy getting ready!! So in an instance, I followed suit. Me and Belinda, I was thinking of shower but I changed my mind, yeah I didnt sweat, I still smelt good, and looking really fresh :)
So I just did my make up and changed to my 'Retro dress'. What can I say, I looked good in that get-up. The unlucky part was the damn shoes, but I pasted some plasters all over my toes..and guess what! I could walk like a normal person yeahhhhh!
The 4 of us, Jaliah, Freda, Belinda and me took a cab to Neptune Theatre. Hey the building still there lah, they only gonna demolish it next year.. I dont know abt the topless dancers though..never seen them :)
In my heart I already wished that I could win some kind of prizes, nothing extravagant, just Xbox, or digital camera or Ipod ... 1st prize for that night was return trip to HK - Disneyland...which I dont really fancy.
The food, yeah not too bad, different from previous years, aka chinese cuisine. Love the cold cuts!! and chicken with Thai sauce (a bit sweet tho)
yeah the best part is the MC himself!! My longtime sweetheart MOE Alkaff, the funnyman.. hehehe he still funny and I love him!! He made my jaw aches because of the laughter...he still looked wonderful tho abit old :)
Was waiting for my number to be called, i had the feeling that i was winning hmm..Damn!! from last 50 prizez (consolation) to the 20th number to the 10th and finally 1st..still no luck..:( well, we cant win all right..infact, i never won anything before..poor me! NO MORE DND...ggrrrrr
Time flies very fast when we having fun, thats how i felt tat day, suddently MOE said goodbye..I wanted to run and take pic with him, for remembrance, but he was no where to be found..no luck again..:(
Anyway the time that we all waiting for came, yes, the dance..since its retro night, at first they played 80's retro songs, until someone told the DJ to play something that we could associate with hehe, like RnB, then all of sudden, more ppl came to the dance floor. Not long, Clarinda, MOE's one and only ballet dancer came up to the DJ and requested him to play her CD..oh my God, I was thinking , tats it, shes gonna dance ballet tat night. The song came out as Michael Bubble's song and also Beyonce's song Crazy in Love, she and her group started shaking their booties..hmm..not so bootilicious thou...hehe no comment..sorry Claire.
Juraimi, the guy from CSC, danced tat night, we were so surprised by his action, hmm..when the cat not in, the mouse ran around freely..yeah..
Single for a night Juraimi??? You go boy!! hmm..but not frequent ok..;)
I think my age is catching up or i just didnt have the energy or the mood to dance, probably the crowd wasnt happening, what could we expect they were all dancing in groups..in a circle..like somekind of Red Indians worshipping the bornfire..!!
Not long, my group declare the night, we all dispersed..left the place about 12.30midnight. Luckily, I shared with Rose, she stayed in Woodlands, not far from my place. So at least, I can save on the surcharge.
Well guys, the pics that you all waiting for, eat your heart out..the bottom line is we all had fun that night..thanks to MOE Alkaff, my man..*kiss* is he still married?
